to new orleans!!

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. This was my first year celebrating Thanksgiving away from my family, which I was a little apprehensive about. S and I decided to celebrate the holidays together this year so we both went down to New Orleans to be with his family for Thanksgiving, and we'll be celebrating Christmas with my family.
Despite my uncertainty of spending the holidays with a family that wasn't my own, New Orleans turned out to be WONDERFUL! I had such a great time getting to know S's family, meeting his cute nephew who just turned 1 month old TODAY (happy ONE MONTH J!!!), stuffing my face with all sorts of delicious concoctions, exploring New Orleans and winning Trivial Pursuit the final night of vacation! woo hoo

Here are a few pictures from our trip down south and keep your fingers crossed that we're able to return for Mardi Gras!! Another update coming later this week. Happy last few days of November!
