people of the blogosphere (and @otpierce) I am taking to my theoretical soapbox to preach about 2 things very near and dear to my heart: pumpkin flavor + trader joe's.

every fall, trader joe's releases it's pumpkin bread & muffin mix, and let me tell you all something, ish is GOOD. Don't fool yourselves into thinking the samples will be enough (as I foolishly did last year). Go ahead and buy a box (or 12). A box is $2.99, looks like this

and will make the most delicious pumpkin muffins you will ever make at home in less than 30 minutes. They look like this:

All you need, in addition to the mix, is vegetable oil, 2 eggs and water. THAT'S IT! With that said, I'm taking my pumpkin filled stomach back to trader joe's right this very minute so I can buy at least 3 more boxes of the greatest pumpkin mix on earth.
